Watercolor Workshop
Mood, Emotion & Drama
Instructor Peter X O’Brien

3 Day Workshop
April 17th – 19th, 10am – 4pm

Peter X O’Brien, a full-time artist for over 19 years, lives in West Linn, Oregon. He teaches weekly watercolor classes in West Linn Lake Oswego, and Vancouver and offers workshops across the Northwest. He has entered (and won!) juried art shows throughout the western United States and thoroughly enjoys helping others perfect their watercolor techniques. Check out Peter’s many beautiful paintings on his website, www.peterxobrien.com

Peter will help you explore watercolor and how to achieve beautiful, fresh color passages while trying different color mixing techniques. You’ll learn how to let watercolor show off its many virtues in paintings that evoke emotions and drama through use of color and value. (No drawing skills are required and all levels are welcome!) Peter will also help you put life into your landscapes – mountains, water, reflections, skies – all can be painted with a new eye to mood and emotion. He will also teach how to create quick and expressive figures for an added human element.
