DESCRIPTION:Janis has studied in oil\, water color\, zinc plate etching\, b
 ronze sculpture and several other mediums. She studied art at Washington S
 tate University and with a number of nationally and internationally recogn
 ized artists including Ernest Caviness\, Michael Clements\, Leon Holmes (A
 ustralia)\, John Wilson (Australia)\, Joe Paquet\, Suzie Baker\, and Morga
 n Samuel Price among others. She currently sells originals\, gicle’ and 
 aluminum prints at Totally Hawaiian Gift Gallery in Whaler’s Village\, L
 ahaina\, Maui.\n\nSubject matter has varied over the years but Janis’ fa
 vorites are people\, animals\, landscapes and local folk. Her next show wi
 ll be in Clarkston\, Washington at the Valley Art Center.\n\nJanis moved f
 rom the Northwest to Maui in 1979 and resides in Lahaina with her husband\
 , Jeff and two cats.
