The objective of this class is to enhance students’ comfort in drawing fundamentals. Through observation, each student will initiate drawing and sketching exercises as they begin drawing their surroundings. This foundational course will cover drawing techniques, perspective, and shading principles. Active engagement in independent sketching throughout the week is vital to mastering the creative art of drawing. Come ready to enjoy the art of drawing!

Class Art Supplies List

1. 9” x 12” (smooth/fine tooth or medium tooth) Drawing Notebook 50-90 lb. or heavier paper weight (the thickness of the paper)
2. Kneaded eraser.
3. Click Eraser Stick – a white eraser.
4. A soft brush to brush away the eraser shavings.
5. Drawing Pencils (Soft Graphite) – 6H, 4H, 2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B, 6B, F, & H If you want to bring additional pencils, please feel free to bring them!
6. A small metal pencil sharpener.
7. Blending Stumps.
8. A transparent ruler.
9. Clean scrap papers to put under your hand to keep your drawing from smudging. Last but not least, a heartfelt desire to cultivate and expand your creative potential!

All classes must be paid for in advance.
All materials must be brought on the first day of class.
