Watercolors
Paint in tubes not dried to palette New
Students:

  1. Alizarine Crimson and Cadmium Red
  2. Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue
  3. Hansa yellow, Lemon yellow
  4. White (Gouache)
  5. Paynes Gray! Watercolor artists: Bring what you have.

Paper
140# Arches cold press pads, paper, or block.
NO smaller than 11” x14” (prefer Arches)

  1. Graphite Paper for tracing
  2. Palette with large areas to mix wet paint
  3. Round watercolor Brushes #2, #6, #12
  4. Flat watercolor brushes #2, #6, #12
  5. Any watercolor papers you may have previously purchased. We will use these for scratch papers.
  6. Masking fluid and masking tape
  7. Kneaded Eraser or white eraser
  8. Container for water

You may bring pictures that you would like to paint. Please be aware of copyright infringement. You may paint other artists work but you can not sell the painting you create.  It is better to bring pictures you have taken with your own camera or pictures that someone has given you permission to use.

The goal of this class is to make you comfortable with your watercolors. How and what it can do.
