Class Supply List

1. 16 x 20 Hard Board or Foam Core Board
2. 1” or 2” Blue Painter’s Tape
3. Hand Wipes
4. Apron or Old Shirt
5. Roll of Viva Towels

Pastels

It is important to note NO oil pastels
Sets can be small (30 or 45 is better)
All but the NuPastels can be purchased as 1/2 stick sets

1. Hard pastel set – Nupastels
2. Medium pastel – Rembrandts
3. Soft pastels –Unisons
4. Small set of Pastel Pencils
5. Stiff Bristle Brush

Paper

1. Tracing Paper Tablet Prefer neutral colors of grey or tan light.
2. Bring sanded paper Canson
3. Claire Fontaine pastel mat
4. UART 400 Grit

Several different subject matters will be covered including, wildlife, reflections and how color “temperatures” can affect a painting.
The goal of this class is to make the student more comfortable with the medium of pastel and to grow more confident in trying new surfaces and mixing of the mediums.
All classes must be paid for before the day of class.
